With Korbyt Anywhere, you can publish 7 different types of content. It all depends on what you want to share with your end users. The different post types are:
Next few section provide details on each type of post.
Video posts can be a very effective way of communicating with users. Whether you are posting a fireside chat with the CEO, a tour of a new facility or training content, videos always draw a lot of attention. Video posts are great for sharing any local content (think MP4 files). Store those videos in YouTube? You can share those as links or embed within articles.
The video upload tool can handle a variety of video formats (MP4, MOV, etc.). When publishing from the content management system, we do not limit the size of your file, but we recommend smaller videos if possible. Smaller videos are easier for users to play on their devices. Once you have uploaded your video, it is stored in the media library for future use on another post or within a message that can be displayed on your digital signage player.
Unique Video Features
When you upload your video, the cover image will default to the first frame in the video. If you want to change it, we give you two options:
1. Select Thumbnail: Allows you to select any image already stored in the media library or drag and drop and image from your computer
2. Select Frame from the Video: Scroll through your video to find the exact frame you want to use.
Image posts are the simplest type of post. To get started, all you need is a single image. However, you can go well beyond that to add up to 10 images on a single post. Once you publish the post, users can scroll through all images, increasing engagement and encouraging future interactions.
Use Article posts when you have a longer featured piece you want to share. We provide a full What You See is What You Get (WYSISYG) editor just like you see in common word processing tools. You can customize font style, insert links, videos, objects from the media manager (like pdf files), resources and embed code to content like YouTube and Survey Monkey. You even have the ability to include an Acknowledge button so that users can confirm when they have read an article.
Link posts allow you to share important external websites or intranet pages with users. To create a link post, all you need is the URL. Once you input the URL, the content management system will read the dynamic HTML to import a default image for you. Don’t worry if that is not the image you want to use, you can always swap it out.
Polls allow you to create a single multiple choice question that can be used to gather quick feedback from your users. Polls deliver instant results to both you and your users
Similar to Polls, Surveys allow you to gather feedback from your users. Unlike Polls, Surveys allow more in depth questions and responses. Questions can be formulated as multiple choice, numeric response, true/false or open ended text.
With a survey you can determine how long it will be fielded with defined start and end dates, collect responses by user or anonymously and allow just one response or multiple. Have a quarterly survey? Once a survey is created you can re-use it on future posts that store separate responses to avoid conflating response data.
Data is one of the most powerful elements in Korbyt Anywhere. You can use data adapters to integrate with applications throughout your corporate ecosystem. Once the connection is made, you can share data with your users by building a data post.
