Getting Started with Launchpads

Korbyt Launchpads offer a powerful way to streamline your content deployment process. Here’s how to set up and use this time-saving feature:

Creating Your Launchpad Template

1. Access the Layout Menu:
   • Open the Mega Menu
   • Navigate to Content > Layouts
   • Click the Predefined Layouts icon in the upper right
   • Select “Add Predefined Layout”
2. Configure Essential Settings:
   • Name your template
   • Check “Enable as Launchpad” to make it available in the Launchpad section
   • Select “Publish to Players/Player Groups” for automatic content deployment

Key Configuration Options

Direct Publishing Setup

When configuring your Launchpad, you have two powerful options:

• Full Screen Content: Enable “Publish to Players/Player Groups” to automatically create new playlists and display content full-screen
• Screen Area Control: Leave “Publish to Players/Player Groups” unchecked to create content for specific screen areas like tickers

Content Control Features

Customize how users interact with media in your template:

• Media Library Only: Restrict users to selecting from approved content
• File Upload: Allow users to upload new media
• Both Options: Enable flexibility by allowing either approach

Workflow Benefits

The Korbyt CMS can request and display a screenshot of what was being shown through a device’s HDMI port when the screenshot request is made.

The Player Hardware has to support capturing and sharing screenshots (PWA and certain KWP softwares do not support screenshots)
To request and updated screenshot the user has to be an Administrator or Tenant Administrator in Korbyt

Viewing Screenshots

The screenshots can be viewed on the Player Page

• Click on the Mega Menu and Select Players
• Ensure your view of the page is set to Card View
  
• The card representing the player has the latest screenshot if one has been captured, if supported
  
  • If Screenshots are not supported, or no screenshot has yet to be captured the white X in the open circle is the placeholder
• Clicking the Pencil will open the Edit Player screen which also includes the screenshot

Updating Screenshots

To request an updated screenshot you have to be an Administrator or Tenant Administrator in Korbyt

• On the Players screen, click the Pencil Icon for the specific player. this opens the player edit screen
  
  • NOTE – The model name that is watermarked on the upper left is not part of the screenshot and is only visible on this screen in the CMS
• Click the Get Screenshot command to send the request to the Player
  
  • You will see the screenshot command listed in the pending actions for the next player heartbeat
  • Heartbeats happen every 60 seconds so it should not take more than a couple of minutes to receive back the new screenshot
  • You can press the Pending Action refresh button and when the individual command is no longer listed it has been carried out
• After the Pending Action command for the screenshot has cleared you can refresh the screenshot that is being displayed
• Under the Screenshot capture click the refresh button to see the new screenshot
  

The system will also capture a new screenshot after a player reboot.

The Korbyt CMS provides several places to preview content.
These previews open in a new window and begin to play the content you selected.

This article reviews those places where you can preview your signage content and any limitations that previewing from there may have.

As a note, this article reviews previewing content in the CMS which is not a live view of what is currently being presented on a screen at that second.

The Preview fuction in the CMS is also limited to content that is available to the CMS. Any data or content that is restricted an only available to the player itself (a HDMI Input, Encoded Video Stream, or Network Protected Data as examples) will not preview in the CMS

• General Preview Playback and Limits
• Player Preview
• Playlist Preview
• Layout Preview
• Builder Tool Preview
• Other Remote View Options

General Preview Playback

• Anywhere you find the preview eyeball icon you can click it to open a preview window 
• In the upper right-hand corner of the preview, there are screen controls
  
• Use these controls to make your preview window mirror your final screen size and shape.
• In general, because the preview window is not tied to specific hardware the preview window will start in an HD Landscape shape
• Interactivity if present in the design will be available using your computer keyboard, mouse, or touchscreen

General Limist that affect all Preview Options

• Local content does not stream back to the CMS
  • Any content that is only available to the device will not be able to be previewed
    • HDMI Input on the device
    • Locally encoded video stream
    • Or data that is only available through the device’s local network and blocked from outside networks
  • This is typically due to data security or media copyright
• This preview uses your web browser’s local time
  • Any time elements or time-limited content will use your browser information to display
• Previews respect Validity Date limits
  • If a piece of content has a validity date limit present that would stop its playback, that will stop its preview as well
• If previewing a collection of content the playback starts from the beginning of the content every time to the preview is started

Preview from the Player Screen

• On the Players Screen, each player has the preview eyeball which will open the preview window
  
• Clicking the Eyeball opens a new browser tab for the preview
• Previewing from the Player will begin playback of all content assigned to the player and is currently scheduled
  • All playlists assigned to the player or its player group
  • They are played back in order and following the instructions that each playlist has
• Limits
  • See the list of General Limits as there are no limits that specifically apply to the Player preview

Preview from the Playlist

• On the Playlist Screen, each playlist has its own preview eyeball
  
• Each playlist would be previewed individually
• Clicking the Eyeball opens a new browser tab for the preview
• Limits
  • In addition to the General Preview limits listed above
  • Playlist preview does not follow any instructions based on Player Metadata because that information is not available at the Playlist Level
    • Any Clever Rules triggered by Player Metadata such as Room, Address, etc. will be skipped
    • Any data displays that filter based on Player Metadata will show blank data
    • These limits can be overcome by previewing at the Player Level

Preview from the Layout List

• On the Layout Screen, each Published Layout has its own preview eyeball
  
  • Layouts that are in Draft status do not have the preview eyeball
• Clicking the Eyeball opens a new browser tab for the preview
• This will begin a preview of the single Layout and all embedded elements
  • If a Playlist Element is embedded it will be included in the preview
• Limits
  • In addition to the General Limits listed above
  • Layout preview does not follow any instructions based on Player Metadata because that information is not available at the Layout Level
    • Any data displays that filter based on Player Metadata will show blank data
    • Embedded Playlist items that Player Metadata controls will be skipped
    • These limits can be overcome by previewing at the Player Level

Preview from within the Layout Builder Tool

• When in the Layout Builder editing a design there is a preview eyeball icon at the top of the Control Panel
  
• Unlike other preview options, this open creates a popup window that will float over the full builder screen
• Limits
  • In addition to the General Limits listed above
  • Builder preview does not follow any instructions based on Player Metadata because that information is not available at the Layout Level
    • Any data displays that filter based on Player Metadata will show blank data
  • Embedded Playlist Elements will not playback because this requires too much processing while in the builder tool itself
    • The Playlist element will display the film strip icon and the name of the playlist (Phot Slideshow in the above image)
    • To preview an embedded playlist playing Publish the Layout and preview from the Layout List

Other Remote Viewing Options

• Player Screenshot
  • You may be able to see a captured screenshot of the player’s HDMI output
  • This ability depends on the specific player hardware supporting it
  • You also have to be an Administrator or Tenant Administrator in Korbyt
  • For more details see the Player Screenshot in Korbyt article
• Player Configuration Page
  • Your player hardware may support a remote configuration page that has a live view or screenshot
    • Typically these are accessed by logging directly into the player by opening a web browser to the device’s IP address
  • You have to be on the same network (physically or VPN) as the device
  • The devices typically have an admin username and password

• Third-party device management software
  • Your hardware may have a native third-party remote device management software
    • Such as Brightsign BSN Cloud Access
  • Or your organization may have remote access to devices on the network
    • Windows Team Viewer or similar

The Korbyt Experiential add-on feature provides a variety of methods for triggering content from external devices.

The method described in this article utilizes Clever Playlists Triggers (under Playlist Settings) and Experiential rules with an embedded UDP Receiver to trigger content switching on specific media players.  

There are some requirements for this experiential feature to work

• The media player connected to the screen must be a Korbyt Windows Player running Korbyt version 3.40 or higher
• Your Korbyt Tenant must have the Korbyt Experiential Feature enabled
  • This is an add-on Korbyt service
• Third-party UDP sender device
  • For testing purposes, users can utilize an UDP sender software such as Packet Sender.
  • For permanent projects, a Crestron Processor could be a typical sender.
• Port 50003 must be open on the host network and both the sending and receiving UDP signals
• The Playlist that will be controlling the player must be a Clever Playlist

To Setup Content Switching

• In the Korbyt CMS build two separate Clever Playlists 
  • Clever Playlist 1 will be your Primary Playlist that is typically playing on your screens when the trigger has not been sent
    • This playlist MUST consist of 1 item set to zero seconds
    • It is possible to use the logic of a Takeover to create a single Layout Item that has an embedded playlist of multiple items
  • Clever Playlist 2 will be your Secondary Playlist that will take over screens when the UDP signal is sent
  • The actual playlist names in Korbyt can be any value as long as they are clear to you which is which
  • Add the relevant content to each playlist as normal
• Within your Primary Clever Playlist to be connected to your UDP device
  • Open the Primary Clever Playlist with the Pencil Icon
  • Click Playlist Settings in the Upper Right to open the settings side panel
    
  • Click the Experiential Rules builder tool at the bottom of the settings side panel
    
  • Within the Experiential Rules Builder on the left, Drag the TCP/UDP Receiver element from the left to the center builder
    
    • In the TCP/UDP Receiver box, enter the value to match the string value being sent from the UDP sender
      • On the UDP sender device, the UDP value must equal korbyt:<string>
      • Replace <string> with a string value of your choice. E.g., korbyt:1
  • Within the Experiential Rules Builder on the left
    • 1 – Switch from Triggers to Actions
    • 2 – Drag the Play a Playlist action to the builder space
    • 3 – Click the playlist name section to open the Properties sidebar
    • 4 – Configure the Properties for the Secondary Playlist 2 and the Player that should show it
  • Click save in the upper right to close the Experiential Builder and return to the Primary Playlist screen
  • Schedule your Primary Playlist to the applicable players
  • Click Save Playlist

When targeted players receive the UDP string value, the players will change from primary Playlist 1 to secondary Playlist 2.

This article reviews how to install the KWP software on a Windows computer to turn it into a Korbyt Media Player.

This article review the process for KWP Software v3.20 and higher
For information on system requirements see Korbyt Windows Player (KWP) Minimum Requirements

• Obtain a download link for the latest KWP software installation package from Korbyt
  • You can email Support@Korbyt.com or contact your Professional Service team member
• You will receive a direct download link that will start the download of the zip package in your browser
• Extract the files from the zip folder
• Locate and run the KorbytBootStrap application and run it
  
  • Or use the command prompt as an admin to run the KorbytBootStrap.exe
•  When the installer opens you will be asked to select the version of the KWP application you would like to install
  
  • Standard is the preferred package as it will provide a full experience
  • For more information on the limits of a Lite configuration see KWP Limitations
• Confirm your selections and click Install
  
• Once the installer runs you will have to restart to have the Korbyt Application Launch
  
• Your computer will reboot and should automatically launch your Korbyt Media Player software
  • If you wish to access the desktop please see How to Access the Desktop of a KWP

While the Korbyt CSM interface is only available in English the text entry fields in Korbyt will accept non-English characters when entered.

The characters can be entered by:

• Typing, if your computer has the appropriate character set turned on in the Keyboard and Language support settings
• Copy and Pasted in plain text from a source with the correct characters
• Translated to the characters in many browser’s built-in tools such as Chromium accessibility and Google Chrome Translate

The areas in Korbyt that support non-English characters include:

• Content Titles/Names, Descriptions, and Tags
  
• Builder Tool Elements that accept text that is typed or pasted
  • Text-Note
  • Ticker
  • Button
  • Form Builder
• Attribute Labels for Predefined Layout Elements in the Builder Tool
  
• Those Labels will also be the characters used in the Predefined Web Submission Form, and the text characters entered into the form will carry over to the design itself
  
• They are also used in the descriptions and placeholder values  in the Launchpad templates
  
• Playlist Names, Clever Trigger Names, and Tags that are part of the evaluation of a clever rule
  
• Playlist information including Player Alias, and Metadata
  
  • Which is displayed in the player list and in the Playlist/Player Assignment area
  • Player Name does not accept non-western characters

While Korbyt allows for content programming to be heavily automated there may be times in your signage system that you wish to override that normal content, suppressing it, so that only special messaging plays.

Perhaps there is a VIP visitor or a special event at 1 location and you wish to stop the normal business-as-usual content so that specific messages for the event are the only ones seen.

This article reviews the steps to set up a Screen Takeover in Korbyt so that the limited content can play without removing the automation that normally controls the screen so that after the special messaging is no longer needed the system returns to its normal programming.

To create a screen Takeover

• Step 1 – Create a Playlist of Takeover Media Items
  • This is the collection of items (images, videos, layouts)  you wish to be played in the Takeover
    • If your Takeover will consist of only 1 item, you can move to Step 3
  • It can be a Clever, Static, or Dynamic Playlist, and content is included as normal
    • For more detailed instructions on creating a playlist please see
    • Configuring a Clever Playlist
    • or Configuring a Standard Playlist
  • Do not select any players to receive this playlist
    • It will be embedded into a Layout in Step 2

• Step 2 – Create a Layout with the Playlist Element
  • Create a new Takeover Layout in Korbyt
    • For more detailed instructions on creating a Layout see
    • Creating And Managing Layouts
  • In your Layout, you only need to add the Playlist Element
  • When adding the Playlist Element select the Playlist of Takeover Media created in Step 1
    • How to Use a Playlist Element
  • Make the Playlist Element full-screen by using the Maximize option in the Element’s Properties Menu
  • Publish your new Takeover Layout

• Step 3 – Create a Playlist that will Interrupt and Block other Content
  • Create a new Playlist
    • The playlist can be Clever or Simple
  • Add the Takeover Layout you created in Step 2
    • OR the single media item that you want to hold the screen
    • This playlist needs to be limited to 1 single item
  • Set the Duration for the single item to Zero seconds
    
    • This will cause a warning letting you know that this item will play forever once it starts
    • This setting is required to block the other normal content from coming back on the screen during the takeover period
  • Set the Scheduling for the Takeover
    • Click the pencil icon for the default Daily Schedule
      
    • Set the schedule for your Takeover Time
      • This can be a simple Date and Time range such as this
        
        • This takeover is scheduled for June 19th from 10 am to noon
      • Or an Advanced Schedule
        
        • This Takeover is scheduled for everyone Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1 pm to 5 pm for the month of July
    • Reminder – Times are evaluated by the Player receiving the instruction against their local timezone. This requires the players to know the correct time to act correctly.
  • Set the Playlist to interrupt
    • This setting tells the playlist that when its schedule starts it should interrupt other playlists that might be playing rather than waiting for its turn in the rotation.
    • In Clever Playlists the Interrupt setting is at the bottom of the schedule screen
      
    • In Standard Playlists the Interrupt setting is in the Playlist settings
      • Click Playlist Settings in the upper right
        
      • Click the checkbox for Interrupt Play towards the bottom
        
  • Select the Players that should receive the Interrupt Playlist
    • As normal select players or player groups in the lower left of the playlist
  • Save the Playlist

Now, when the Interrupting Playlist’s schedule begins, it will interrupt the content that was already scheduled and hold the screen until its scheduled time ends.

Some Limits and Notes on Interrupts and Takeovers

• The Interrupt setting will not interrupt a video that is already playing
  • If there is a video that is playing when the interrupt starts the Interrupting Playlist will start after the video ends
• The Interrupt setting will not interrupt a clever rule that is being processed
  • If there is a clever rule that is in the process when the interrupt starts the Interrupting Playlist will begin after the rule completes
    • For example, if this is my normally scheduled content playlist
      
    • And when my Interrupt Playlist starts the normal content is in the middle of the clever rule the Interrupt Playlist will start when that rule is completed. Beginning the interrupt playback before the city skyline image
• Interrupt Playlist should be created adequately in advance
  • The player needs to receive the Interrupt Playlist before the scheduled start time to interrupt
• Interrupting Playlists can themselves be Interrupted
  • If another playlist has a scheduled start time on that player with the Interrupt turned on it will Interrupt this playlist

Combining Canva’s ability for content creators to share a design as embeddable HTML Code and Korbyt’s ability to display Embedded HTML code, it is possible to have an automated connection between content edited and stored in Cavna but displayed on Korbyt-controlled screens.

To accomplish this:

In Canva Share your design as HTML Embed Code

• Build a Canva design/template
• Select the Share button
• Select Embed
• Copy the HTML Embed code it generates
  • If you are not immediately ready to paste the code into Korbyt you may want to paste into a notepad
• Canva Embed Design Help Document

In Korbyt Create a Layout and add the HTML Container

• Create a new Layout, or open an existing one for Editing
  • Using The Builder Tool For Layouts Or Messages guide
• Add the HTML Container Element
  • How to Use the HTML Container Element guide
  • Edit the Element through the Gear Icon
  • Click the Pencil and paste your HTML Embed code from Canva
• Resize the HTML Container window as needed
  • If full-screen, you can use Properties > Maximize
• Publish the Layout
• Add your new Layout to a Playlist to make it seen
  • Configuring Clever Playlists

Now changes made in Canva to the design will be seen when Korbyt displays the HTML embed code.

BE AWARE – This method will increase your cause an increase in data traffic compaired to storing the item direclty in Korbyt because now for the design to be seen it will have to call the HTML code when the layout is displayed compaired to showing a cached image/file

Other Options for Canva and Korbyt

Korbyt Courier for Automatic import to Korbyt

Korbyt has built-in ability to connect to common cloud storage services OneDrive, Google Drive, DropBox, Box, and Adobe Experience Manager

• Create a Courier in Korbyt to connect to your preferred service
  • Setting up Couriers guide
• In Canva, when you complete a design save it to your preferred cloud storage service

The courier in Korbyt can check as frequently as every 30 minutes, if new items are present they will be imported from the cloud storage service to Korbyt.

• You could then have a Clever Playlist that is automated based on your Media Manager folder or Tags to show the new content automatically
  • Players check for new content every 15 minutes, resulting in 45 min being the longest time it would take for automated content to be on a local player

Manual Importing to Korbyt

Always an option for the most detailed control of the flow of content.

• Save your file from Canva to your Computer
• Login to your Korbyt CSM and upload the design to your Media Manager

Microsoft Graph API serves as an interface for developers to interact programmatically with Azure Active Directory (AD), facilitating access to comprehensive user and group-related functionalities and data.

Korbyt Required Minimum Permissions

These permissions can be configured in the Azure AD application’s registration settings under “API permissions.”

It’s important to note that administrative consent may be required after adding these permissions, especially in environments where the application’s service principal lacks administrative privileges.

for our application’s functionality, the minimum permissions required are:

• Group.Read.All
  • Requires Application Level access for this API Call
    • Delegated access is not sufficient
  • Essential for enumerating groups from Azure AD
  • Provides access to group-related information such as group name, description, memberships, and other properties
  • Required for Korbyt to efficiently manage and interact with groups within the Azure AD directory
• User.Read.All
  • Requires Application Level access for this API Call
    • Delegated access is not sufficient

Understanding Minimum Permissions Required for Group Enumeration

When utilizing Microsoft Graph API to enumerate groups from Azure AD, it’s essential to configure the appropriate permissions to ensure secure and efficient access to the required data.

The minimum permissions required for group enumeration are as follows:

• Group.Read.All: – REQUIRED Application Level Access
  • This permission allows reading all groups within the Azure AD directory.
  • It provides access to group-related information such as group name, description, memberships, and other properties.

• Group.ReadWrite.All: – Not Required and Not Recommended for Korbyt Access
  • In addition to reading group information, this permission grants the application the ability to modify group properties and memberships.
  • It provides full read and write access to all groups within the Azure AD directory.
  • Korbyt Does Not Want this level of access to your Azure Active Directory.

Understanding Group Member Read Permissions

While Group.Read.All and Group.ReadWrite.All permissions focus on accessing group-related information, so it’s crucial to differentiate the implications of using GroupMember.Read.All permission in this context.

• GroupMember.Read.All: Not Required and Not Sufficient for Korbyt Access
  • This permission grants the application the ability to read the members of all groups within the Azure AD directory.
  • It provides access to user or application memberships within groups.

Important Consideration: Although GroupMember.Read.All allows reading group members, it does not provide permissions to enumerate groups themselves. This means that while the application can fetch information about group members, it lacks the capability to list the groups present in the Azure AD directory.

When leveraging Microsoft Graph API to enumerate users from Azure AD, it’s imperative to configure appropriate permissions to ensure secure and effective access to required data.

• User.Read.All: REQUIRED Application Level Access
  • This permission grants your application the ability to read all user profiles within the organization’s directory.
  • It provides access to comprehensive user properties and relationships, encompassing details such as contact information, organizational data, and more. User.Read.All is sufficient for retrieving basic information about users.

• User.ReadWrite.All: Not Required and Not Recommended for Korbyt Access
  • In addition to reading user profiles, this permission facilitates the modification of user data.
  • It empowers your application to both read and write all user properties within the organization’s directory, offering comprehensive access for data manipulation and management.
  • This permission is not recommended for Korbyt integration.

• User.ReadBasic.All: Not Required and Not Sufficient for Korbyt Access
  • Does not include access to the SID
  • SID is required to identify the user when logging in

Application Level Permissions Required for Group and User Enumeration

To access the SID and other detailed properties of all users in the directory, Application-level permissions (also known as application-level or admin-level permissions) are required.
These permissions are typically granted by an administrator and apply to the entire directory.

Delegated Permissions grants access to just the signed-in user’s profile rather than the entire directly, meaning that the permission is granted by the signed-in user only for their own user profile and the profiles they have access to.
Therefore it is insufficient to read all groups or users who require access.

Understanding Minimum Permissions Required for User Login

• User.Read: REQUIRED
  • Delegated access is sufficient for this API call
  • Used when the individual is requesting to log into Korbyt to verify their SID information within the organization’s Active Directory

The Urgent Alert system in Korbyt allows critical messages to be created in advance and then when activated the message can be pushed to Signage, as well as Desktop(InView), and Mobile & Web users.

Urgent Alerts can be found by

• Clicking on the Mega Menu in the upper left corner
• In the Schedule column, click on Urgent Alerts

Creating Urgent Alert Templates

When you build an individual Urgent Alert (next step) you select from an available template.
The templates have customizable text and a graphic field.

The system has a Default Alert template provided, and if you are satisfied with that template, you could move on to the next step.
Default Alert Template

If you would like other Alert Templates

• On the Urgent Alerts Screen click the blue Add Urgent Alert Template button
  
• Set a Template Name, and optionally add any Tags that are desired, then click Create
  
• You will now be in a very limited Builder Tool, specific to building Alert Templates
  
  • If you need more information on using the Builder Tool see
    • Using The Builder Tool For Layouts Or Messages
• REMINDER – you are building a template for alerts, so any element that should be editable by others in creating their actual alerts
• For Elements you want to be customizable, such as the text, it has to have Templated Properties
  • Use the Element’s settings menu (Gear Icon) to select Properties
    
  • In the Properties window click the Attribute tab, give the field a Label, and click Templated
    
    • For Text fields, you can set a max character length
    • For images and videos, you can lock selection down to specific sources
  • After setting the field to Templated, Set your placeholder values
    • This will set the text Font, color, spacing, and size
• When you have completed your Template, click Publish at the bottom of the control panel

Once Published, this Alert Template will be available from the drop-down of templates when a user creates a new Urgent Alert (Next Step)

Adding Urgent Alerts

When adding an Urgent Alert users will be able to select an available Alert Template.

Alerts are created in advance, configuring the message and the channels it should be displayed to, then when needed it can simply be “activated”

To create a new Urgent Alert

• On the Urgent Alerts Screen click the blue Add Urgent Alert button
  
• This will open the Add Urgent Alert screen with three different areas of control
  
• Alert Message Setup – create and customize the alert
  • Select an Alert Template from the drop-down
  • Set an Alert Name
  • Enter the text for the text elements that are available in that template
  • Select media items for image and video elements that are available in that template
• Preview – see the results as you work
  • Changes based on the values entered on the left
  • Shows what the message will look like on a computer screen or mobile device using the blue tabs at the top left of the preview
• Scheduling – set what players or users receive the urgent alert when it is activated
  • the Select Audience button opens the menu to select from Desktop(InView) / Mobile & Web user audiences that should receive this alert
  • the Select Players & Player Groups button opens the menu to select specific players or player groups that should receive this alert
  • Alert Expiration sets how long the Alert should remain active for
  • Channels toggles to turn on which methods the Urgent Alert should be shown through
    • Signage – if turned on opens a Duration option for how long the alert should be shown on the screen for each time it is displayed. A duration of 0 seconds will force the alert to stay on the screen not letting those players show any other content.
    • Desktop (aka InView) – if turned on allows a notification message to be set
    • Mobile/Web – if turned on allows a notification message to be set, and a check box to have Push Notifications through the Mobile app
    • SMS – if turned on allows a notification message. Requires that SMS messaging be setup in your tenant-wide settings
    • Email – if turned on allows an email subject and message body to be set
    • Phone (Text-to-Voice) – if turned on allows a text-to-voice message to be entered. Requires Text-to-Voice service to be set up in the tenant-wide settings.
• Once configured, click the Save button
• You will still be on the Edit Urget Alert page
  • You have the option to activate the alert now, make further edits, or exit

When you exit you will now see the message available on the Urget Alerts screen

Activating Urgent Alerts

Individual Urgent Alert messages can now be Activated when needed

To Activate an Urgent Alert

• On the Urgent Alerts Screen click the Active/Inactive toggle for the message you would like to active
  
• If you click the toggle you will be asked to confirm that you are activating the alert
  
• Active Alerts show with a green toggle and have a display of how much longer the duration has over the thumbnail
  
• Once Activated, the Alert is programmed out to it’s programmed channels
• To deactivate an alert click the toggle again, and confirm the change

Urgent Alerts can be activated/deactivated remotely by other systems through integration with the Korbyt Service Catalog and our APIs which require a separate subscription.
