How to Add a Message for KorbytGO use

To add a message in KorbytGO,  there are few steps to follow: Select a template, add message name, add tags, and then add content via the message builder.  The steps below we will demonstrate (1) how to create a new message, (2) what type of templates are available, and (3) how to use the message builder to add content to the message.

1. Create a New Message

  1. From Dashboard –> KorbytGO –>Messages.  Click on the “Add Message” button.
  2. In the “Add New Message” window, select the Template (more details described on the section on Templates below), Message Name, Tags and Layout.
  3. Then click the “Create” button.
  4. Message Builder will open.

2. What Type of Templates are available

There are four different templates to select from: Default, Fixed, External Message, and Import Message.

  1. Click on the Template drop-down to see the available options
  2. In the section below we will describe each template option

Using “Default” Template

  1. Enter the Message Name
  2. On the Tags section enter a tag, if desired.    Using tags is highly recommended, this allows the customer to easily manage their content.
  3. Select the Default Template from the Drop-down
  4. Click on one of the predefined element area from the available list to select
  5. Click on the Create button
  6. The Message Builder will open

Using “Fixed” Template

  1. Enter the Message Name
  2. On the Tags section enter a tag, if desired.    Using tags is highly recommended, this allows the customer to easily manage their content.
  3. Select the Fixed Template from the Drop-down. Please Note: this message in not recommended for mobile
  4.  From Dimensions, click on the drop-down to select the desired dimensions
  5. Custom Dimensions option is also available. Selecting this option allows the user to enter the needed dimensions if those are not available from the Drop-down list.
  6. After selecting the desired Dimensions click on the Create button.
  7. The Message Builder will open.  The Message element highlighted in red, is per the dimensions selected

Using “External Message” Template

Korbyt allows the user to create their own Korbyt Message using an external HTML builder and zip all related assets.  Import the zip file containing all CSS, java script, and image files.  The Korbyt Message must be named as index.html

  1. Enter the Message Name
  2. On the Tags section enter a tag, if desired.    Using tags is highly recommended, this allows the customer to easily manage their content.
  3. Select the External Message Template from the Drop-down
  4. click on Choose file (navigate where the file resides) and select the file.
  5. Click on the Open button to complete selecting the file.
  6. Click on the Create button.
  7. Find the Message under the Message list.  The message is ready to be use.
  8. If changes are needed , click on the Edit button to edit.
  9. The Message Builder will open.

Using “Import Message” Template

When importing a Korbyt Message, please be sure to keep the original filename the zip file had when it was initially exported.  DO not rename the zip archive.

  1. Select the Import Message Template from the Drop-down
  2. On the left side on Select Zip File – click on Choose file
  3. Navigate where the file resides and select the file.
  4. Click on the Open button to complete selecting the file to be imported.
  5. Click on the Create button to complete creating the a new import message. 
  6. Success Message “Message imported successfully” will appear to indicate the zip file has been imported.
  7. Find the Message under the Message list.  The message is ready to be used.
  8. If changes are needed , click on the Edit button to edit.
  9. The Message Builder will open

In the Message builder is where the user has the option to select what type of content to select to be displayed

  1. During the message creating the builder will open automatically
  2. On this example we will use the message builder after the message is created.
  3. Select an existing message and click on Edit button
  4. The Message Builder will open
  5. The boxes within the builder are for the elements to be used.
  6. Simply click on a box and drag and drop to Add that Element to the message.
  7. For demonstrating purposes we will Add an Image Element to the message
  8. The Images directory opens
  9. Navigate to the desired page and select the image  then click Add
  10. Now that the Image element has been added to the message this is how it will look
  11. Adding an Image element is just one sample.  More elements can be added to the message.  The example below shows how the message looks like when, an Image, Clock and Text elements are added.
  12. Click on Publish button to complete the translation
  13. At this point a KorbytGO Message with content has been created
