How to set up Korbyt on a Philips Android monitor.

  1. Go to Android main menu and click on Apps.

  2. Select and launch the built in browser Chromium.
  3. In the browser URL search bar type the .apk URL:
  4. Click Download
  5. Close the browser once the .apk file has completed the download.
  6. Return to the Apps Menu and open the File Manager folder.
  7. Scroll to and open the Downloads folder.
    1. For some professional grade Philips monitors the path to the Downloads folder is Storage / Emulated / 0 / Downloads.
  8. Select the Korbyt.apk file, right click, select open and select install.
  9. When the installation completes select OPEN.
  10. Instruct the Philips monitor to launch Korbyt as a default during reboot.
    1. Select Settings in the Apps menu.
    2. Scroll down and select Signage Display.
    3. Select Source settings.
    4. Select Custom app button and select App.
    5. Select Korbyt and SAVE.
  11. Reboot the monitor to launch Korbyt Player. Select Always option.

NOTE: An alternative method of downloading the Korbyt software is via a USB drive directly to the File Manager folder.

  1. After downloading and extracting the .apk file to a USB drive connect the drive to the Philips monitor.
  2. Select the mnt folder from the File Manager folder, then the usb_storage folder to access the .apk file.
  3. Select Open, then Install and then Done.
  4. Follow the above instructions to launch Korbyt as a default during reboot.
