Broadcast is an Optional feature that can be a part of the Korbyt Desktop (InView) system.
It allows Korbyt administrators to create short text-based messages that will be delivered to a Desktop User’s Korbyt Application through their assigned Messages.
The Broadcast appears in a preset Ticker Element within the users Desktop Message. see Preparing the Ticker
These messages can be sent out on demand or preprogramed to be delivered at a specific date and time. They can also be set to expire after a set amount of time.
Sending a Broadcast
If Broadcast is part of your Korbyt Desktop service it can be found in the Mega Menu in the Desktop section
On the Desktop Broadcasts section you will be able to schedule new Broadcasts and edit ones that are scheduled or currently being played.
To start click
You can then configure your new broadcast
Editing an existing Broadcast will use the same interface options as a New Broadcast
Priority will control the order that Broadcasts play in if there are multiple Broadcasts at the same time
After you click the blue Save button you will be returned to the Desktop Broadcast screen.
When the Broadcast is active it will scroll through the Ticker Element that was prepared in the users Desktop (InView) screen.
Preparing a Ticker for Broadcast
A Broadcast will appear on preset Ticker Element within a Desktop Message. This operates similar to a normal Ticker Element except it has been set to await Broadcast messages.
In the Builder Tool add a Ticker Element as normal.
Once Added to a design, click the blue Gear icon to Edit the Ticker Element
The click the Broadcast setting to the far right and select on
The ticker message will change to Waiting for Desktop Message you can now edit that text style to how you would like the message to appear when broadcast.
This Ticker Element will be combined with the other Elements of your Message design.
When a Broadcast is sent, it will scroll through the prepared Ticker Element in the preset style
When no Broadcast is active, no message will show on the User’s screen.
